Committee Information

Public Relation/Community Outreach

Committee Goals:

  1. Provide information (newsletters, bulletins, website, pamphlet etc.) to all sectors of Raza community, other organizations, and educational institutions, with the objective of gaining support for A.R.E.
  2. Actively work on both community and educator outreach.
  3. Establish and maintain and regularly update a viable website.
  4. Will report at each general meeting as to the status of its outreach and recruitment activities.

 

 

Membership Committee Goals:

  1. Will recruit and retain member as part of the organization.
  2. Will ensure all A.R.E. members are in "Good Standing" and individuals who have shown interest in the past are contacted and kept informed on our work.
  3. Will support the Education and Publicity
    Committees in their efforts to bring together members of the educational community, parents, and students.

 

 


 

 

Education Committee Goals:

  1. Will evaluate existing and developing programs affecting Raza students. (linguistic rights)
  2. Will give evaluation reports/updates at general meetings and recommend plans of action.
  3. Will provide member education aligned with the organization structure, mission and goals of A.R.E.

Scholarship Committee Goals: 

  1. Will disseminate scholarship information throughout.
  2. Will develop criteria for selecting scholarship recipients.
  3. Will select scholarship recipients.

 

 

Financial/Fundraising Committee Goals:

  1. Will implement plans to raise funds for A.R.E.
  2. Will organize fundraisers to obtain funds for the Raza Education Fund.
  3. Will report and give update at each general meeting as status of the organization’s finances.
